These two long exposures of a distant storm were taken one night last week. Both have focus issues (I suspect my attention was not on the photographic details as I battled mosquitoes), but I like the compositions, particularly the second shot.

This week's photo is a long exposure abstract form. The B&W image was taken from the red channel of a color shot (with the contrast bumped up a bit).

Sunset on White House Creek

I went out one night last week to the shores of White House Creek with a wide-angle lens set to f/18 (or better) and a sheet of construction paper -- more about that after the photos themselves. I started out taking exposures at around a half-second, but was up to 30 seconds or more per exposure by the end of the set.
