Two photos of some fun metal Mario artifacts that we found on a recent trip (bonus: they originally had candy in them).

I've been exploring the world of sumi-e painting lately, and even occasionally break out the sumi-e brushes and try some simple compositions myself. This particular photo is of some sumi-e cattails I painted over a wet on wet watercolor wash.

Two more skechbook closeups this week, both from a sketch devoted to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.

I keep a sketchbook, but it is not very good. This week I took some closeups of sketches I've done recently (in lieu of actually posting the sketches).

So I took a hiatus of sorts from photoblogging. Family and work come first don't you know... I was still taking pictures however, so today I'm posting multiple photoblog entries, and back-dating them to when I intended to post them...

I spent some time in March doing macro and close-up work. Week 10's photo is a macro shot of the RGB elements in our television.

This week's photo is an early morning frosty macro shot.

I was testing out our new Sony H20. It is a point-and-shoot that we bought for our business (for taking macro shots of beads and other craft supplies), but I really like its ease of use and image quality. There is something nice about not having to grab the heavy tripod and long SLR macro lens!
