This week's photo is a another frosty morning shot (telephoto this time) of the bison that live across the road from us.

This week's photo is an early morning frosty macro shot.

I was testing out our new Sony H20. It is a point-and-shoot that we bought for our business (for taking macro shots of beads and other craft supplies), but I really like its ease of use and image quality. There is something nice about not having to grab the heavy tripod and long SLR macro lens!

This week's photos are of one of the outbuilding's on a neighbor's farm.

I'm actually a day or two early for "week 52", but I want to get this posted, and highlight a new photoset I'm working on called: Benthic Monochrome.

I've been shooting more black and white lately (well, shooting in color, and splitting out either the red or blue channels), and I have been trying to get out and explore the estuarine environment that surrounds me. I'm planning to combine these two pursuits into series documenting the Chesapeake estuary in black and white.

I've posted the first few shots in a new photoset entitled Benthic Monochrome, now available in the Photography section of this site.

In the decade we have lived on the Northern Neck of Virginia, snow has been a rarity, but not tonight. Five inches of snow as of 10:24pm, and more is coming down!
